How do you actually define a loyal friend? A trustworthy, faithful person who you can count on? Well, that may be the case. I decided on this name because of the personification of loyalty found in Samwise Gamgee, my favorite character in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The actor that plays Sam, Sean Astin, is my favorite actor. I've loved him since "The Goonies" through "Encino Man" and now in the character of Sam.

This site was born from my account of the day I met Sean Astin at the Texas Film Festival on February 22, 2003. The collective was launched May 9, 2003.
